Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

This is a draft template, not legal advice. It's a reasonable starting point for a tool like hasQR, but you (or your counsel) should review and adapt it before relying on it — especially the sections on liability, account termination, and any jurisdiction-specific requirements that apply to your business.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of hasQR (the "Service"), operated by ASFMS, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

hasQR lets you generate QR codes in your browser, optionally create an account to enable scan tracking, and view analytics for codes you've created. Core generation and download features do not require an account.

2. Accounts

If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when registering. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to generate codes that link to illegal content, malware, phishing pages, or content that infringes someone else's rights. You agree not to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service's infrastructure.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the URLs, text, images, and other content you enter into the Service. You're responsible for having the rights to any logo or image you upload and embed into a QR code.

5. Tracked links and data collection

If you enable scan tracking, the Service logs the time, an approximate location derived from IP address, and device operating system for each scan of your tracked link. See our Privacy Policy for details on what's collected and how it's used. You're responsible for complying with applicable law regarding disclosure to your own end users when you use tracked links.

6. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted uptime. Tracked/redirect links depend on the Service remaining operational — if a code stops resolving, scans of that code will fail until service is restored.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that generated codes will scan correctly in every environment, camera, or lighting condition.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ASFMS, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to the contact address listed on our About page.
